One of my greatest joys is supporting dancers in caring for their bodies and minds through yoga. Having trained in some of the most rigorous dance programs, including the Rock School for Dance Education and the Fordham University/Alvin Ailey BFA Program, and having worked professionally for over a decade, I deeply understand the physical and emotional demands dancers face.

Since 2017, I’ve taught students from the Certificate and International Programs at Peridance Center in New York, working closely with pre-professional dancers who are navigating intensive training and transitioning into professional careers. My approach is thoughtful, collaborative, and grounded in anatomy, biomechanics, and stress-relief techniques.

We begin each class with conversation: how students are feeling, what they’re working on, and what they’re curious to explore. This builds self-awareness and empowers dancers to advocate for themselves. Class often includes guided breathwork, linking breath and movement, increasing muscular support for hypermobility, self-massage, and mindful stillness. Above all, dancers are encouraged to stay in full autonomy of their bodies, modifying or resting as needed. There is no pressure to perform and they are guided instead to use movement to turn inward.

I’m honored that many dancers have shared how these classes helped ease soreness and fatigue, created more support and spaciousness in their bodies, strengthened their artistry, and supported their mental and emotional well-being. I’ve also guest taught Yoga for Dancers across the US and internationally, including at The Juilliard School Residence, Seed Dance Center (Taiwan), and Ehrstrand Dance Center (Sweden).

I love working with dancers, both in group settings and one-on-one. If you’re interested in bringing Yoga for Dancers to your school, company, or training program, or exploring private sessions, please reach out. I'm happy to discuss how we can work together.
